Nuvoda is a fast-growing environmental technology company, based in Raleigh NC, that is changing how municipalities and industry treat their wastewater using an innovative green renewable aerobic technology.
Nuvoda is seeking a Sales Manager for our rapidly growing company. This position will work remotely, be based in the US, and report to the Director of Sales. This is an opportunity to work with an innovative technology company and drive new business in the municipal and industrial wastewater markets.
Responsibilities:
- Grow the sales pipeline and achieve sales targets of Nuvoda’s MOB Process.
- Manage, develop, and engage existing representative network.
- Develop relationships with end users to showcase the Nuvoda MOB process.
- Negotiate the proposal and competitive bid process in conjunction with outside sales representatives.
- Become proficient in Nuvoda’s wastewater technology portfolio.
- Define the needs of the client to come up with the winning sales strategy
- Develop and lead project proposal generation in conjunction with the process and tendering staff.
- Coordinate and participate in regional and national trade shows, conferences and other sales events.
- Give sales presentations to Engineering Consultants and Owners through on-site meetings, video-conferences, and webinars.
- Final sale negotiation and closing of proposals.
- Make on-site visits to assess process conditions and help determine best solutions.
- Provide input to the marketing department.
- Manage and maintain the image of the Nuvoda brand.
- Develop territory case studies in conjunction with the technical & marketing teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the water and/or wastewater fields. Preference for municipal sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater processes.
- Solid working knowledge of the capital sales process and planning cycles with a history of successfully achieving capital sales targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Existing Engineering Consultant and Owner relationships within the US municipal business preferred.
- Strategic thinker, analytical, with an ability to translate experience to customer solutions and value selling.
- Well-organized and an ability to multitask, prioritize and adhere to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in an ever changing rapidly growing company, and eager to learn and grow.
- Work remotely – approximately 25-40% travel is required.

Biological Process Engineer

Nuvoda is seeking a Biological Process Engineer to complement our Engineering team. The Biological Process Engineer will provide application engineering and technical support for our innovative wastewater treatment projects. As needed, the Biological Process Engineer will also help coordinate new system start-ups and operational support. This position has growth and promotion opportunities within an expanding new technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Review process design requirements for biological wastewater projects utilizing Nuvoda’s Mobile Organic Biofilm™ (MOB) Process.
- Complete process modeling (e.g., BioWin, Simba, SUMO) for our MOB Process projects.
- Generate customer proposals utilizing standard tools
- Support sales team throughout the sales process including participating in customer calls and/or site visits.
- Specify and procure equipment to meet customer specifications and develop project / product costing.
- Prepare technical submittal packages.
- Conduct on-site walk-throughs with clients and consulting engineers.
- Provide technical biological process support and troubleshooting during start-ups and operations.
- Monitor & gather data and analyze process conditions.
- Act as the interface with client operations and project site personnel.
- Train operations and laboratory teams.
- Complete installation and start-up project documentation.
- Communicate with Engineering team members, customers, and suppliers regarding design improvements & modifications.
- Complete engineering drawings to support project documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-15 years of experience with the design of aerobic wastewater systems and/or wastewater equipment design.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer certification is a plus.
- AutoCAD (or similar software) proficiency is preferred.
- Experience in wastewater treatment process modeling (e.g., BioWin, Simba, SUMO) considered a strong asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical thinker, with an ability to translate experience to customer solutions.
- Well-organized and an ability to multi-task, prioritize and adhere to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in a rapidly growing company, and eager to learn and grow.
